I'm a Fan of THE OFFICE, Service Me!
When a TV show does dozens of episodes over several years, an occasional episode that says "we know what you like XYZ, so here's some for of that" is FINE.

That's not Venus Flytrap, that Det. Harris. Aintcha know nothin?

Here's Firefly!
So stop asking, already!

Does Palicki Cancel Out Kelley?
Does the awesomeness of Adrianne Palicki cancel out the awfulness of David E Kelley?

But but but
I'd just gotten a Borders discount card!

It took me a long time to forgive Paul Weller for breaking up The Jam, even though it was obvious even then that he was over it and wanted to go in the direction of The Style Council.

It's About Chemistry
Which is what is so crazy-making about this: you can duplicate and/or improve on chops and skill, but every combination of musicians is unique and has its own chemistry.

Grote

This isn't Surprising
Decades and decades of random essential fluids combining and recombining to create some kind of super virus? Not surprising.

I was struck how the camera never shot him full-on. Like looking directly at him was going to dissolve the lens or turn the entire country to stone.

Dylan at Awards Shows
Every few years, Dylan gets invited to perform on an awards show just to remind everybody why Dylan only gets invited to perform on awards shows every few years.

If either Superchunk or Camper Van Beethoven count, I'd definitely add those to the successful reunion albums.

Had Morrissey & Mould somehow collaborated following the breakup of their bands, they could have turned out a depressing classic on the level of TONIGHTS THE NIGHT or SISTER LOVERS.

Wanted to check whether or not my memory was faulty, so I did some digging (i.e. typed in "nine star wars movies" into Google.)

The Clash Reunion
I choose to believe that Joe & Mick & Paul would have started working together again, and since The Clash were on my shortest of short lists of favorite bands, it would have combined the best elements of STREETCORE and Carbon/Silicon, and bucked the reunion odds.

The Smiths & Husker Du
While Morrissey & Mould came close with YOUR ARSENAL and COPPER BLUE, nobody from either one of these bands scaled the heights as solo artists as they did in their original incarnations.

Totally agreed. Hell, even if they went in the initial direction of the Angel S6 comic book — which I thought was a mess and stopped reading — that would have been interesting.

The 1980s Star Wars Prequels
At some point during the initial Star Wars films it was reported that George Lucas had planned to nine full films — three prequels and three sequels — one every three years, starting with the first prequel in 1986 and ending with the ultimate fate of Luke, Leia & Han in the final film.

Professor, I would have also accepted "because we wouldn't have had any story then, dumbass!"

Despite the "why didn't he just do that in the first place" ending, "Human Nature / Family of Blood" just might be my favorite two-parter of the Tennant run.
