I had one, the color is called Harlequin.  He was such a sweet dog. Great Danes are wonderful dogs.

G-G-G-Ghosts?!?!  Zoinks!

It annoys me to no end that they are not coming to Nashville, and I can't make it over to Atlanta for their show.  At least, I'll see The National in two weeks.

I can't reach into the oven with both mitted hands without touching my right forearm against the side.  There are currently two, crosshatched burns there on top of pink skin of one recently healing. You'd think I might learn.

When I stared playing football in junior high, I woke up one morning after practice and my arm had a purple waffle print on it. I freaked and thought I had some creeping infection/disease. I showed my dad, who laughed, and informed me the holes in my jersey had left that mark when I got hit.  Football left some

I don't think I've ever responded to your sock posts, but if I repeat myself, my apologies.  Anyway, have you ever checked out this site: http://www.sockittome.com/ ?  They have some good ones.  I have a pair of bright red ones with white lightning bolts on them that I love

We have two eighty pound beasts, a black lab and a husky.  There is a good chance that we're going to get a newfoundland in the fall or maybe a great dane.  We like big dogs.

I am quite fond of stretching it out with a good, loud, "God-motherfucking-dammit!"

Um, what are highsies?  It sounds like something someone would shout a la "shotgun" to keep from driving while stoned.

New Superchunk for two straight days.

I had actually seen Portastatic more times than Superchunk until a couple of years ago. I saw them in Los Angeles with The Rosebuds and strangely, Baton Rouge where a friend's crappy band opened for them. The band was Mac, his brother, Jim Wilbur and a pretty girl playing strings.

Yes, what @avclub-976e5a7c9f5586745269c99891652285:disqus said. I thought I was being long winded enough, so I quit naming songs, but "Slack Motherfucker" is basically The Superchunk song as far as many are concerned.

I have to ask, what's your hometown?  I know parts of it were filmed on the MS Gulf Coast because it was a big deal when I was a kid to pick out the locations I recognized.

I'm a pretty die hard Superchunk fan, but I can't say I'm necessarily a typical one.

I heard their version first, as well.  One of the highlights for me, when I saw them a couple of years back, was when they played "100,000 Fireflies" in the encore.  That said, it was one of the worst crowds I have ever been in. It was in Atlanta, and 80% of the crowd was young, disaffected hipsters who just stood

Come Pick Me Up is one of my favorite albums of theirs.  "Hello Hawk" in particular.  Granted, I love Here's To Shutting Up so I guess I am not the typical Superchunk fan.

A penny for the old redneck.

Not current pain, but a comment on physical therapists.  I used to install hospital software which included rehab departments.  I got more than one of those fuckers to admit they enjoy hurting people for a living. They are evil sadists!

Wow, The Champ.  I haven't thought of that in years, but it tore me up as a child.  Another one from that era that got me, Savannah Smiles.

I very much want a sous vide cooker. Luckily, these newer models are getting to be more affordable, as a couple of years ago, the cheapest you could find was $600.  I found online instructions for sealing a ice chest to better retain heat and tried the submersion method for some steaks, and it left much to be desired.
