So, I haven't bitched about my fucking awful coworker in a few weeks, as there has not been anything new to say. He's just been his normal annoying fucking self, lately. Then, at the end of last week, I overheard him saying to the autistic guy that he was trying to get a job in Orlando because he did not like this

Since I have quit, my fiancee has smoked 3 or 4 times. Each time, I told her it did not bother me if she did it and I was not going to give her any shit if she did.  My dad quit smoking after 20 plus years and is a huge dick about it now. My sister dubbed it "The Wrath of the Reformed." I never wanted to begrudge

Hey, it happens.  I have managed to avoid any serious stress or situations to trigger a fall.  The important thing is to brush yourself off and give it another go.

We actually have a specific piece of grill-safe pottery for making beer can chicken. I thought it was an odd bundt cake pan, but nope, chicken pottery…

I have not read the sparrow, and I actually have a copy of Oryx and Crake. A good friend absolutely loved OandC, but my fiancee utterly loathed it.  I read about 50 pages of it and put it down for something else.

Today is the exact one year anniversary of interviewing for the job I now have. Around this time of the day, I was going through my 4th hour of interviewing.  Now, here I sit…wasting time on the avclub.

Again, congrats on quitting smoking. I just passed 50 days, myself.

re: seasoning.  Lately, I have been using garam masala, coriander, white pepper, garlic and olive oil.  And since baked chicken can be so boring no matter how it is seasoned, I have been toying around with making yogurt sauces for dipping.

I've read The Man In The High Castle (and most all of Dick's), but I have not read any Heinlen.  I'll check it out, thanks.

@avclub-230e46d19fe78a6c8dc715659a7188d7:disqus close… Nah, I went a bit crazy for the previous couple of weeks eating bacon cheese burgers and drinking beer resulting in putting on about 8 lbs. I am working on dropping it (have kicked off 6 lbs already).

@avclub-eaff9f19dbfd5c5a5807b5dbfa656ec9:disqus My favorite would be track 1 - 8. Seriously, that is one of my favorite albums, period.

The 7-11 by the condo I stayed at in Honolulu had Spam "sushi" rolls for sell. Like, a slice of Spam and rice under a heat lamp right by the register. It was weird.

Two boiled egg whites and a Granny Smith apple

Got in the car to
Made Up Dreams - Built to Spill   then
Our Lips are Sealed - Go-Gos
Fazer Eyes - Frank Black
Your Fucking Sunny Day - Lambchop

Newest brewery I have been on a kick with is Lagunitas.  Their IPA is quite tasty as is the Imperial Red Ale. I'm probably going to pick up the pilsner this weekend.

I finished God Bless You, Mr Rosewater last week and it was predictably outstanding.  After that, I wanted a page turner, so I started looking for a sci fi or fantasy series to start. I settled on Joe Abercrombie's First Law series and am about to finish the first book, The Blade Itself.  Before I pick up the second

Well, I think we have it worked out that we pay for the liquor, but the caterer does the mixers. That seems fair enough.  I can't do cash bar.

Hey there, @avclub-8288999e960ebe6aca280a2c31f5645b:disqus . Yes, that was me. First things first, I have heard to avoid the Brimstone except in certain circumstances. It is basically a niche whiskey, They have managed to "smoke" it, in that, they have infused smoke flavor into the whiskey. From what I've heard, it is

@avclub-f7f8eb12e0f61a9321597157c0d61791:disqus I got the orange 3 quart and registered for the 6 and 8 quart in turquoise. It is a hell of a deal…
