@Patrick_Batman:disqus Did you inject the turkey with spices? That, and peanut oil seems to be the trick for good fried turkey.

Here is the recipe that @avclub-d019eb089e65903455cc52308f00b997:disqus posted that I used. I pretty much stayed to the recipe excepting the changes I noted above. Also, I slow simmered much longer than the recipe calls for to better blend the flavors.

I still have a huge pile of habenero peppers, but those would just be too much for a sauce like that. I grew a pepper garden this summer and the only ones that survived the brutal, 115 degree everday, Nashville summer were those and banana peppers. I love the flavor of thai chili peppers would like to make a sauce…

Yeah, that is my thing, as well. Recipes never get the spiciness right for me. Luckily, my fiancee also likes spicy food so I don't have to tone my cooking down for her. That is one of the reasons I don't like baking my main courses. Cooking on the stove top allows me to continually sample the taste to get it where…

Not exactly the same thing, but I just found out that the Grammy nomination concert is going to be at the arena I pass on my way home from work. I am supremely annoyed by this fact as traffic is bad enough when it is just some random country act there. Although, maybe I can get a chance of running down the Biebs in a…

Well, I found a local international market and finally made the Chicken Makhani recipe that Jimmy Thinks You're Emo posted a while back. Hot damn, it was tasty. I did use the Ginger Garlic paste that the recipe called for, but I did diverge a bit from the recipe. While the sauce was simmering, I added a few, whole…
