@avclub-d88a1fef9041a3c49408560ef2122eab:disqus  This pretty close the the receipe I used. I don't recall putting in that much soy sauce, I would used broth instead of bouillon, and always use fresh garlic instead of powder. That, and add a little sugar if you like your au jus on the sweet side.

So, thanks to everyone for the incredible sounding recommendations, and seriously,  I plan on trying almost every one of these. I have already forwarded a few to the fiancee and she has approved of each one. I'll try to remember who suggested what and I'll let you know how they turn out.

Have you ever gotten/looked into any clothes from Ben Sherman? I am kind of a sucker for British designers (see the clothes in Sherlock).  There is often stuff on sale on amazon or zappos.
