Ugh, I have a fucking team meeting in 15 minutes and all I have to eat at my desk is whey protein. Plus, I am going to be missing out on the cooking discussion. Stupid corporate bullshit!

@K.Thrace - I am sure it would work fine with vegan soy sausage. I have gotten some from the snooty grocery store by my house and it is quite good and tastes like the real thing.

Hmm, that is a thought. I really rarely try to cook Italian-style food. Earlier this week, I made a alfredo chicken with farfalle pasta, and I just wasn't pleased with the outcome. I kind of ruined it by browning the garlic too long, and it was just too garlic-y. Which seems impossible as much as I love garlic. My

It takes a little effort, but I have found that people love the spicy spinach sausage balls I make.  If you are interested, I'll edit in the recipe.

I have some boneless chicken thighs in the fridge, and I am looking for some different way of tackling them. Any suggestions?

Do you know where I can buy a good, used, living paperback bible?

Okay, @avclub-752c325f9cae94bbbd34b6b4b697fe2f:disqus , let me rephrase.  If you don't have a beautiful cut of steak, you can turn it into something incredible by cooking it sous vide. I am a "grill it" purist when you have a good steak, but you can take something like rib cap and make it fork tender using a sous vide

Why, thank you.  Okay, for the short ribs, I used this recipe from Tom Colicchio. It is a two day process and the ingredients are simple, but damn, it comes out beautifully. Well worth it.

Mustard is great for using as a base for a dry rub when smoking meat, too. Also, using it in batter for fried fish or mushrooms adds a nice tang.

We sliced some yellow.squash and zucchini, coated with olive oil, garlic and sprinkled that great grilling rub called Butt Rub on it and baked. Then, we put the leftover horseradish sauce on the side and it was quite tasty.

I love to cook and to try new things, so these threads are a blast to me. Actually, resident avc poster @tanooki suit riot and his girlfriend have came over and I cooked braised short ribs and steamed mussels which turned out pretty damn well.
