You'll get no shit from me, spicoli on the Ween nor the Lips.

I love Down by the Water now, but when it was released, I was pissed because it did not sound like Rid of Me. Not only that, she got rid of the backing band from her first albums. The drummer, I believe his name is Robert Ellis, was an absolute beast on Rid of Me.

alsbum?

I will support Otto's statement as well. Incesticide is still my favorite Nirvana alsbum.

Yeah, I saw Primus back in the 90s a few times, and damn, those shows were brutally rocking. Back then, I had to get down in the pit, crowd surf and act the fool, but after a few Primus shows and the multitude of bruises and boots to the face, I started hanging back.

I saw UO open for Pearl Jam in New Orleans. The best part of that being that after the show, we were walking around the French Quarter when a early nineties Toyota Corolla with Mississippi plates pulled up to the curb by us and parked. Out climbed all 3 members of UO in full UO garb (leisure suits, gold

I don't know, CF. I am betting quite a few people will agree with you…I do.

I believe it was out of New Orleans, but we also had the K&B's along the Gulf Coast. They had their own generic, store brand, beer. White can, with their trademark, purple lettering which simply said Beer.

In looking at the albums released in 1990, it is surprising how many great bands started out that year or put out great albums. I cannot say I listened to all of these at 15, but I did end up with all of these eventually.

Besides grunge
I was 15 in 1990 and also living in a small town, so I can relate to the article. Besides the grunge acts in those early years of the 90s, I hope to ramble on about some other bands from that time when they are addressed that I still listen to regularly.

I stand behind Saturation as a bubble gum, glam pop classic. I still listen to it a few times a year.

It still blows my fucking mind that Enter the 36 Chambers came out in '93. I do consider myself fairly lucky for being born when I was in regards to the pop culture at the time ( a lot a good it does my old ass now). My senior year in high school I had shit like Wu Tang bumping in my crappy car speakers.

I heartily endorse Peter Stormare as Zod.

Shaft!

Damn, do I need an editor.

I am currently working my way through the Deadpool comics (like all of them). and the comic is wildly different according to who is writng it.

Holy fuck, if you look at Blood Simple as some insignificant guy's first go 'round instead of the Coen Bros' first, it truly shines. What a tight, tension-filled thriller filled with great scenes. Dan Hedaya, bitches.

If it was me, and that is just me, I would have the speech from The Departed on mine if I was Markie Mark.

Will post it here
Hi avclub, just wondering if you will be reviewing Dennis Lehane's new Kenzie/Genanaro(Moonlight Mile) novel when it comes out in November?

Oh don't worry, I am a huge fan of Paul Thomas Anderson's movies (every one), but Markie Mark has excelled at the supporting roles over the years. I question his leading actor status after what he has done since (he was great in The Departed). Dude fucking kills in supporting roles, but if we are looking
