The last animated film I watched was Penguins of Madagascar so I have to wonder how messy this thing could possibly be to be called "surprisingly messy for a mainstream animated feature."

It looks less like Kate Winslet's head is a rock and more like her head was squished by a rock that fell out of the sky and Jim Carrey doesn't know what to make of it.

That's because you've been watching Dragon Ball Z, a little Naruto, Pokémon, and Digimon.

My first thought was that she went into a coma after her suicide attempt and the rest of the movie is her coma dream.

The "original not for kids only shows" started as far back as the '50s with Rocky & Bullwinkle, assuming you don't want to count theatrical cartoons… but the trend really kicked off in the late '80s/early '90s. Nick pushed the envelope with Ren & Stimpy but even that owes a big debt to Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures.

Like a lot of kids' cartoons, I'd probably like this show if it weren't so ADHD and screamy. Maybe I could watch it with the sound off and played at half speed.

Hehey, a Great Job, Internet! that actually promotes well made original content rather than a juxtaposition of two familiar things! Keep it up!

Wait, did Al Jean just say "Behind the Laughter" is canon?

That was a fetus, you monster!

And Freakazoid.

"This could be the first time any SpongeBob-related music has been compared to The Beatles"

Movie Tavern screened A Muppet Christmas Carol recently so I had the privilege of seeing it in the theater. Of course the song was missing. I only vaguely remembered it from when I saw the movie once before on Disney Channel when I was much younger. Had to look it up on YouTube when I got home.

Kids' movies are more likely to approach death indirectly, though. You'll either just be informed someone died, or the character will die gracefully from damage completely invisible to the audience.

Huh, so it looks like there's a serious untapped market there. Someday someone's gonna strike it rich producing totally radical erotica just 4 teenz.

Wait, Blue Is the Warmest Color is NC-17. Not that theaters are obligated to follow the MPAA, but isn't disseminating sexually explicit material to minors against the law in the US?

Small mistake in the article: "Huth’s suit joins the allegations of the many other women who have said that Cosby sexually assaulted him"

I hope that PC doesn't fall into the hot tub.

I think you're mistaken about which one is the "literal cock magic".

This is probably the closest I'll ever get to having a relevant place to mention that when I was seven my favorite song was a parody of the same song from a dinosaur themed audio cassette. I lost the tape long ago but fortunately someone uploaded "Born to Be Extinct" to YouTube.

I wonder what the digital afterlife was like for Amy and Rory for all those years before they became Cybermen and blew themselves up.
