I was just thinking about how messed up this scene is in context of the final revelations in the series. I do like that reading on "saving" his brother though. This was a seriously dark, messed up show.

We'll I'd flatly disagree that there were a lot of things done poorly here. Animation and music were outstanding, and characters/story were about 80% good and 20% rushed or unsatisfyingly resolved.

That's an excellent idea. The first two parts of The Promise have been pretty ho hum, but the third looks like it's finally going to reach it's long awaited conflict that results in Republic City.
