I love love love the fact that she did not turn evil over a boy cheating/dumping her. Yay for strong empowered female characters!

Exactly. I'm really bummed so many people aren't getting this. Dictators and tyrants, even the ones that start with good intentions, are not good people. Power corrupts may be one of the oldest stories in the world, but it is also the most true.

Really? That sounds horrid to me. "Let's take all the fun and magic out of the universe. Ready? Set? Go!"

Agree 100% with you. Filler is a term that gets a bad name. Really, it's stand alone episodes with great story telling and character development that does not rely on contributing to an overall mythology (which every episode of Korra did, contributing to its breakneck pace). You may tell a great story without such

The last five minutes of the show are easily the most valid criticism of the series and episode. However, I saw give the creators some leeway. It's not like we're dealing with hacks from some 10 cent meaningless cartoon or sitcom (there are still millions of them, just turn on your tv).

What in the world are you talking about? Korra is in no shape or form the same person she was in "Welcome to Republic City". She learned to accept failure, fear, and weakness which her headstrong character in the beginning could not. Is she some super patient monk now? Of course not. Being impatient and headstrong is

Um… did you see him literally force his children to become bloodbenders (an outlawed, taboo form of bending sure to make them freaks in society) by torturing animals and EACH OTHER? All with the sole motivation of "avenging him"? Seriously. He is on Ozai levels of shitty fathers.
