Not all. Jon's parentage, the Prince who was Promised prophecies, et all are all things that come back in later books. There has been zero set up for them. I bet most newbies have no clue who Rhaegar even is. That means no Aegon later on (which might be a good thing actually) or "Song of Ice and Fire" that drive Sam,

Very glad that Luwin did not take the place of the Reeds. His death is one of the emotional high points of the second book.

Also, did the flashbacks look like Yakone was bloodbending Sokka, Toph, and Aang…. and then Aang did… something that made his eyes bulge out.
