Hit the nail on the head about My Sopranos feelings. I felt it was a very well MADE show, but you're right about their pettiness and how small they felt. Some people go for that, but give me your big, passionate, foolish characters who risk all every time.

That was brutal. On my rewatch I was surprised no one dug into Angel deeper for that. Killing an old ally in that manner was BRUTAL.

Andy was so good these last few episodes. Was watching some S2 episodes and (makeup aside) the character grew a bunch in the background through the finale. His sad coda is one of the many brilliant things at work in the finale.

Word word word. Wes is probably my favorite character ever as well.

Ditto. Wesley's death was the one thing I hated the firs time I saw NFA. Now it gets more poignant on rewatches and I can't imagine it any other way.

Amy Acker is SO GOOD these last few episodes. Why isn't she in more things??

Agree on all counts. One of the best bits of writing advice I ever got: "The audience doesn't need to relate to or agree with a character, but they have to understand that characters thought process and more importantly believe that characters relationships with other characters. Nailed it.

Ding ding ding. You are correct. And it's Tormund that tells Jon that they never found the true horn. Many people suspect that the horn that Sam found (Jon in the book) is the true Horn of Winter. The fact that it showed up in the book and now series gives credence to that theory.
