I love the moment that Lindsey recognizes that something is wrong, and tries to talk out of going to the basement. So amazingly eerie.

Underneath is one of my favorite Angel episodes ever - for exactly the reasons stated above. It's all about mood, and the distance between people (and even the distance between people and their own feelings). Brilliant stuff. And Wes's speech has haunted me for years too.

"Thats something I learned from my father."

I agree. Usually love this show, but felt it was strained, uneven, and rather weak after the election started. I do have hopes of it reaching its former glory though next year!

Have seen plenty of love on here for Ygritte (cute, but not my type) so just wanted throw out a shallow DAMN for Oola Chaplin. I'm with Robb on this one.

Good question. Maybe Sam finds it on his own? There is no rule that says Ghost had to be the one to track it down.

Spend a week chilling in one of his cozy cells and let me know. You may not get much sleep though…

Point taken. I'll clarify: Korra is neck and neck with Zuko for best DEVELOPED character. Toph is a distant third in that category.

@avclub-951d3e731b6b2ac1e93cbba6e1b68e80:disqus Point taken, but I really don't understand how you can discuss one characters actions out of context with the other character actions that lead to it. Mako did nothing to force the unfortunate situation, it arose because Korra was projecting onto him and Bolin was

Korra is a pretty revolutionary character. I think we're just scratching the surface of it. Five episodes in and she's already neck-in-neck with Zuko for the best Avatar character ever created.

@avclub-951d3e731b6b2ac1e93cbba6e1b68e80:disqus  I get your point, yes it is not cool to do. But I think it's a bit unfair to the Mako of the situation. He didn't ASK or LEAD Korra on in any way or make her feel those things. What right does Bolin have to complicate the situation in the first place? If you're giving

I think you could say the same thing about Korra, for leading Bolin on in some regards while being well aware of his feelings for her, then for basically making a complicated situation explode by kissing Mako; or Bolin for continuing to pursue a girl who clearly sees him as just a friend and pressuring her when she

I don't get why you think Bolin has any more right to Korra than anyone else. Did he "call" her? I mean that's not how it works. Bolin has feelings, thats understandable, but its not like Mako pursued Korra even knowing how his brother felt. In fact all the evidence we have seen suggests the opposite. He had plenty of

Nice analysis. I actually like Mako a lot more this week than I have before. (Opposite asshole-ish effect on me?) This is because I'm finally getting a grip on the character. He is very pragmatic and works hard to keep his feelings from seeping out, and I think that's what throws people off about him. He's the Katara

I liked pre-Lesle Ben better. Post-Lesle Ben… meh yeah .

I really want to hear Meelo's relationship advice.

Exactly! Clarified a lot.

I imagine there was a lot of crying after Kyoshi had her way.

mmmm soba
