I just discovered they're doing classic Futurama reviews so, just a comment to say "I'm on board" too! I absolutely love the moon episode for being so efficiently right to what I think the moon will be once we break into regular space travels.
mine was "trust me, I'm a doctor" with zoidberg as the avatar, less
subtle; plus when asked if i was a doctor i had to say "yes in
literature" boys ran away :'(
oh wow, an excuse to rewatch all Futurama? Im game, but I wont put my old Zoidberg avatar back, coz these are reruns… anyway, season 1 is almost flawless!
you really love this show dont ya?
I loved young Robbie! Besides that, simple and nice str8 forward episode, every sitcom has had the sad story about the dad who left the family when character was a kid (even Big Bang Theory best episode of the last 3 seasons was about that)… Not sure this one was a classic but still a better Soos episode than Real…
You're right, it's just that for some reason (Duchovny? Samantha?) many non-fans of the show usually just remember Mulder way more and I like to curve things around by pointing out Scully's true impact.
I agree with you completely. I first encountered them in France as separate episodes, so waited a week and there was another episode with the same story arc and yet stood alone, and I really loved the idea. Now when I do rewatch I consider the four movies as just 16 episodes in one big season with four arcs and it…
The Xfiles starts with Scully being assigned to them, without her there would still be "spooky" Mulder down his basement and no one would care. She brought the science, the maturity, the actual going out there for the truth instead of just talking about it. In truth with the series (everyone knows Duchovny left first,…
Well as a big Futurama fan, this was great to see them for once: Scruffy was awesome as usual, not enough Zoidberg but the little he had to do was as immense as usual, the nod to Seymour was heart breaking (but I wouldnt have done it, that episode should be tempered with). Anyway, I dont watch the Simpsons and only…
Yes, but one of them was indeed The West Wing (which sits next to The X-files, Six Feet Under, The Wire and Mad Men as my fave TV series of all time).
wait, more Futurama somewhere sometime?!
Besides "Listen" and the fact I really like this new Doctor, I really don't think it's a vintage season at all.
I've never been fan of the Amy & Sheldon couple: it's sad for Amy and doesn't fit the Sheldon I really like so that part annoys me. I also like Stuart as a character too much for him to be turned into the biggest caricature of them all! Apart from that, Penny & Leonard were very sweet and some good jokes as usual.
Loved the show self-mockery on the exterminators pun included in the episode itself too. Like when (can't remember at all which episode) they mention that one of their neighbours always keep closing and that it's now a bad-pun-titled store for tires or something.
Tina owns the show, as usual since season 2 now. Glad I stayed up for it, it's 2:30 AM in France now and I can go to bed!
Yeah I was rooting for Amy and BBT too!
Having, for once, read the review before watching the episode, I expected way bigger and meaner things between Bernadette and Amy. They had an argument that turned into a fight once but it wasnt that big a deal and not necessarly things IRL you'd resolve anyway except "yeah we're friends". And BBT felt very…
omg just realized, the way it was voiced (kristen schaal) sorta maes it a Louise line too!
I kinda lost track when this show is actually scheduled? Anyway, I'll have to find a rerun somewhere before I can comment… geez, american networks, let us keep track for once!
