I think Moore's argument comes down to "DC is making new stories with the Watchmen that they'll say are canonical. That's bullshit. Nobody pretends that The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen is actually supposed to be a real sequel to Dracula, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, et. all. It's just supposed to be awesome." I

And then get a spinoff.

And he'll charge the hell out of them to do it.

That's why I watched it. And it's the only reason I'll consider watching it next week.

Nixon's kick around speech came after he lost the race for California governor in 62. He then became president in 68.

I definitely can see your point about father issues being an unnecessary complication to why you wouldn't want your child taught to believe in Big Foot and such. I'm presuming they didn't go that route because it seemed, at least to me, they decided they wanted to do a story about Lily and her father first and then

I think we're supposed to see a line between "tolerate Marshall's weird beliefs" and "actively teach your child Marshall's weird beliefs".

@avclub-525f76574b3a2a5bcb4da793c92a16fb:disqus That's a life lesson, right there.

If I remember correctly (and I probably don't), towards the end of Kelso's run as Chief of Medicine he spent a day talking with some intern while sitting on the bench. I don't know if we ever see him eating on the bench again, but it did seem to be a place he'd return to occasionally. That said, we see Kelso in

Exactly. Community is worth a lot, but to trade it for P&R, Sunny, and 30 Rock? Not worth it. Not even close.

Aw, April's face when she saw Ron's response to the doll.

I agree. I laughed. I actually laughed pretty hard. But I can't say it has the depth that I've come to expect from Community in its best episodes. A fun episode, but not one I'll probably rank as one of its best looking back.

I'm doing my best to convince people that they should care this year. With Hitchcock, we're actually pretty okay so far! (I won't say anything more than that. I've been hurt before)

Indeed. Come to St. Louis, AV Club. Our local weekly, the Riverfront Times, kinda sucks, and its Village Voice Media-designed website sucks extra. We're a nice city, really. Some guy on Forbes said so.

I found the talking to the kids bit perfectly believable. Then again I often think in Socratic dialogue with people who aren't actually there, so perhaps I was allowing the show to validate my crazy.

Okay, just because she didn't tell him at that particular moment does not mean that she never told at any point between that moment and when Ted told his kids the story.

@avclub-83bbcd6dcec89f078faeaa5dea583a8f:disqus Or like, yell at random people to call the fire department to get him down. It's not like there aren't other people all around him. I thought the B-plot was funny, but it certainly requires quite a large suspension of disbelief.

I think you might be the first person I've ever seen who thinks 7 is better than 8. Any particular reason, beyond the one example?

Losing Smy religion.

AGH! KSDK PREEMPTED COMMUNITY AGAIN!
