Storybrooke can still get modern pop culture through the barrier. There's no reason he couldn't have named his shop more recently.

More likely Rom, being too much of a softy, would probably give away too many of his services and go bankrupt.

It kind of makes sense. If he went through some Ferengi bar-mitzvah he was probably being regaled with "manly" Ferengi stories about what he should do, how he should act, etc. So his actions on his date reflect him overdoing it a bit, which he no doubt realized later when he took a good long hard look at himself to…

I think there have been several examples of him expressing his business sense, or at least trying to, from the Noh-Jay Consortium in season 1 all the way through Treachery, Faith and the Great River in season 7. I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed a few scenes in a vomit comet (like Apollo 13). However, from what I read the scenes are shot on a soundstage using not wires but moveable platforms to prop up the actors, who are basically just acting weightless.

I would assume Starfleet classified the Guardian of Forever and its existence isn't widely known.

1 Bane is bad enough, but we have like 7 Banes! Typical South Park town being stupid.
