Did she? I don't recall that (not saying that it didn't happen, just my own flawed memory.) There were a lot of others getting plenty of airtime that season: Ozzy, Coach, Cochran, but we really didn't see too much of Sophie early on, and she is actually everything we generally look for in a narrator. The sexism of

Oh, I didn't mean to say that Tasha or Trish couldn't win because if the edit. If they were men I think that would be the case, but how many women over the age of thirty-five who didn't star in early 1980's hit sitcoms have gotten prominent edits their first time playing?

Is there a term for such fantasy league conjoined twindom?

I think he is playing the only game he knows how to play. He's completely manic out there, it's not for show, it seem be who he is. Or at least who he is deprived of food, sleep and family.

You are absolutely right that skill in narration has no bearing on whether someone deserves to win or not. There are people who are great narrators but not very strong players, Penner is probably the clearest example of this. There are also people who both played and narrated well, so their dominant role in an edit

Oh, he'll do something monumentally stupid, but we still have almost no hope.

I fear that any of us who don't have Tony have no real shot of a top four placement at the end. My dream is all but dead.

But we do love when you are on!

I think for a first time player that Spencer is playing a highly flawed, but decent game. As a narrator he is disappointing, he's not insightful, funny or charming. Most likely he is getting this edit because of how well he places in the game, but it is possible that there is no strong narrator this season. Woo is

If Tasha hadn't won immunity (and assuming Spencer didn't win either) it certainly would have been for naught for Tasha, but since it would have bought Spencer at least one more vote it was really a move that served Spencer in any scenario. EIther way it was their only move.

Right, active idols beget new idols.

I imagine that at some point they must have had a conversation about ways to stoke Tony's paranoia, and that creating the suggestion of a woman's alliance was among them.

I'm starting to think that Spencer must have slept with your wife.

Sure, there is no reason that the advantage couldn't be the second item offered under a closed lid. The auction seems to have deliberately followed a pretty predictable formula to advantage players who know the game. Tonight's auction was a mess from a production standpoint, so I'm sure they'll be shaking things up.

Very interesting! The auction clearly needs a revamp, everyone playing is just too familiar with the structure at this point, earning their money could be an interesting new aspect.

You were a great guest, and not just because you reflected a sensibility that I share regarding being anti-character. I can't stand the casting of characters such as Coach, Phillip, and the Hantz family, but Cochran is one of my all time favorites. I was curious how it was that you saw Cochran in that vein.

But very much less X-rated.

Jeremiah writing "Woooooooo" on his ballot was the Jeremiah highlight of the whole season.

I would love that to be true. But didn't they bring Russell back again after he was accused of violating his contract by leaking information? I thought they were pretty certain that he did it, but just didn't have the proof.

I was thinking he wasn't going home tonight because he didn't have a confessional. I guess he was the true ninja of the season.
