"What railroad companies are not, however, is interesting."
Some fat chick Dave Geffen had the hots for in the 70s
It was a Newswire piece a few months back. The piece was weird and smelled of paid endorsement. The meme has been slowly building up steam, really coming to a head with the Dawes Christmas Undercover. I personally love it.
I was under the impression that the comics were direct adaptations of the original novels.
I question that. I QUESTION THAT.
Really? From what I remember from the comics (maybe not the best reflection either), the tone of the film, at the very least, was pretty tight to the source. Does it even matter anyways, as the original was pretty damn solid in its own right?
I love your teenage daughter. On a regular basis, in fact.
I would bet that the AVclub would facilitate that for you.
Sex. The physical act of love. Coitus. It can be a natural and zesty
enterprise but there are some people -it is called satyriasis in men and
nymphomania in women- who engage in it compulsively and without joy.
hmm… okay. Have you ever had major surgery, and then been stepped down off your pain meds with methadone because the withdrawals can be lethal? I think that would be a pretty concrete example of addiction.
Tyler Perry Presents:…
She was bitten, escaped the attack, then died from blood loss and rose up. This could happen in less than an hour.

Bottom line: If grown men didn't want to bang 17 year olds, there wouldn't be a law.
The movie is about a child living in a child's world, but from an adult's perspective. Did your son like it? My son (much younger) did not. It just wasn't fun to watch. Movies can have undercurrents of sadness and be enjoyed by children (see: Up!). WtWTA did not balance it out with any child-like wonder or real fun. I…
That, an adapting one of the most beloved children's books of all time into a movie for adults.
Mostly agree. I think there was room for downbeat in WtWTA, the book definitely has that melancholy tone. But it was skewed so far toward the adult. I am still saddened that Spike chose to so shut out the young audience from the movie version of such a classic, universally adored CHILDREN'S BOOK.
See, by the end of the film, I found the fights to be really boring. I really enjoyed the stuff in between. I mean, I loved the CGI and visual style accompanying the more mundane, realistic scenes of the movie. The fights just really wore me out, especially by the end.
