When I was a kid, I knew him from Webster. Later, when I learned that he had played for the Lions, I thought that was cool just because the Lions are my team. Of course, he was great in Blazing Saddles. I guess what I'm trying to say is that memories of Alex Karras have always been good ones. RIP, Mr. Karras.
