One of my main criticisms of Dunham as a writer has been and continues to be that she's just incapable of writing anyone who does not share, essentially, her exact perspective.

It's probably too late now, no one cares and this will be dismissed as irrational criticism, but Dunham, Arfin and the other writers really just aren't good at writing any male characters.

If you're writing a story about this, without overwhelming you or throwing blanket assertions at Dunham, can we please, please, please have some component of or at least mention of race in this article?

How dare you! Lena Dunham's entitled character whining about how her parents won't give her the reasonable sum of $1000 a month and how she is the voice of a/the generation is brilliant writing on par with best of Harold Pinter.

I would have been more okay with it winning, if Poehler who is vastly more deserving or even Fey had won Best Comedic Actress.
