No. Girls is not good. If it's become an inflammatory rhetorical choice it's because critics still absolutely refuse to even consider that it could be anything less than an absolute work of unfettered genius and that all criticism of it is driven only by some level of insane jealousy.

If this level of press fawning and Apatow apologizing continues, based on her self-congratulatory/fake self-deprication interviews we really are on course to turn her ego-wise into someone even worse than Aaron Sorkin (which is saying something) by the time she reaches his age.

Marie ain't my favorite character but that coming from Skyler (who is easily as self righteous, more than willing to overlook her own flaws, Walt's flaws when it suits her, and Ted's flaws) almost gave new meaning to the term hypocritical.
