I had a big problem with the "twist" or change that starts up in Part 2. I don't want to give anything away, but it was cheap as hell to me. That being said, it's well-written and superbly plotted (though things wrap up rather quickly). Flynn just sold her characters and characterization short so she could have a

The Inferno isn't really a book to just "read"… A lot of people read Inferno and forget that there was a Purgatorio and Paradiso, too (though I'm not implying that you were planning to do this), and that the whole Commedia is just one very long poem split into three parts. None of it was meant to stand on its own.

I made a FIoE playlist where I cut five of the songs and added the "Hawaii" B-side, and it's pretty damn good. That album suffered a lot in the second half, too many boring songs. I still think "Red Light" is a fantastic song and closer, though….most people seem to overlook it.

The Nerevarine? He got away from Dagoth Ur and the Ash Vampires? That's good to know.

My problem with the ending was HOW brisk it was. 850 pages of boiling tension and typically great Kingstuff (characters you love to hate, depictions of society turning on itself, etc.) gave way to a quick 150 page revelationdenouementend. Given a bit more time to develop (instead of feeling so out of the blue) the end

I've never watched this show but goddamn this review was a joy to read. A fiery, bitter joy. Kudos, Sonia!

I'm surprised more people aren't catching on to this. I mean, a PORTAL to another dimension opens up in the middle of the Pacific, GLaDOS is announcing robot-battle preparations, and Valve is building a Steam-friendly console RIGHT NOW?? Guys, something's going on.

I really wonder if they (Netflix) have considered the possibility of crashing their servers. An entire season available at once? An entire brand-new season of AD, six years in the making? Yeah, I foresee problems.

I mean, Mike and Jessica were all but engaged when Brody came back. Mike gets a lot of flack. He's kind of a doofus, but he means well.
