It was worse than that. More like he couldn't decide whether he wanted the character to be more Peter or Brian, so he just blatantly alternated depending on the mood of the scene. Ugh.

Takin' a plaaaaaane break!
MINE LOOKS LIKE CHICKEN SATAY!
Sooooooo how much Barenaked Ladies on this bad boy?
More importantly, David Walton looks uncannily like a young Jon Wurster. Just have him throw some "show some respect!"s around and play a killer drum solo, and I am sold on this series.
Chet IS a Chicago man, as Nathan Rabin can surely tell you.
False. Wainy Days is as close to the original Stella shorts as any of the trio has ever gotten— the perfect mix of childlike silliness and pointless vulgarity.
No idea if its still happening, but Lizzy Caplan was attached to a series based on the hilarious Julie Klausner book I Dont Care About Your Band for HBO, produced by the Ferrell-McKay company.
Listened to it today, and was not dissapointed. Glad Jesse has gone back to the full-show podcast format, and excited to hear the changes he's got in store (especially the involvement of the MBMBAM boys, who deserve their seat at the big kid radio table every now and again).
Indeed. Between this and their prodding the uber-feminist blogosphere for lulz with Dickwolves, I have no respect* for those guys and find them to be the epitome of thin-skinned, butthurt chumps who are too arrogant to ever admit to being in the wrong.
Tom is being cranky about it, but looking at the tabulations, it occurs to me that he might be steamed that one of the voters had to recuse for being a creative partner of Tom's on another project, thus denying him probable votes.
Yeah, definitely reads more positively than the letter grade suggests.
I like how time has proven David Wain to be the true champion of the Stella crew.
Damnit. And that's why I just don't know how to quit him. References within references within references.
Ditto. They also glossed on one of the biggest issues I have with Childish Gambino, one that probably prevented me from supporting his commercial debut with my dollars— the weirdly aggressive even by rap standards misogyny.
So much love for Chapel Hill bands….
Was it in Ann Arbor? I was supremely sad to have missed him there while in MI for the summer, and heard he was up to some wild times.
I'd love to hear Gherkins go toe to toe with Tommy Wonderful. I hear the show is built on the foundation of tradin' jabs anyway.
In better news, we can dust off that "Team CoCo" name with no alterations!
I'll hold out for The Raditude Diaries
