Yeah, she was really the least valuable player in an excellent cast here.

Most likely the pre-programmed scenario yes. It was heavily hinted at that she'd either get raped or paint a picture by the river at the end of each day. The humans, either guests or writer/programmers, are the villains in this show.

Yeah, there was the whole spiel about this "is as good as [humanity] will get. There's nowhere to go from here".

"Loved how Dolores, the character who spouted cliched line after cliched line, was literally living in a cliche by design."

Vale Rome.

Cabin in the Woods, Truman Show, and the film that Hunger Games ripped off of course, Battle Royale.

He's the classic agent of chaos. A Loki or a Joker. Definitely there to breathe some unpredictability into the story.

As I mentioned earlier, some of the freezing were actual freeze frames and kind of ruined the immersion.

Not even going to touch this pretentious screed other than to point out that you completely missed the point that the repetitions were VERY meaningful. The residual memories from each "loop" are how the AI evolve into consciousness.

Can someone confirm whether the "underground" was shot in that abandoned shopping mall I saw creepy photos of on the internet? Looked awfully familiar.

I would disagree that it was well done. Some of the freezing was obviously actual freeze frames which was distracting.

I wonder if this is a reference to the player piano in the Magic Castle in LA which also (magically) takes requests (as seen in Love)?

This is probably not the most unpopular opinion, but live action Jungle Book > animated Jungle Book.

I know very little of Boston (I guess Cheers was set there?), and even less about gridiron so this episode was completely lost on me.

The show really picked up when returning from Canon City. It was like two completely different shows.

Looks like someone forgot about Stre.

Terrible choice of typeface for the titles. Took me a while to realise NIHE is not a brand.

"It was just locker room cover design"
