Nope.
Nope.
Good lord(e). It's a song a 15 year old wrote about growing up in a small town in New Zealand and how far removed it is from pop and rap lyrics she hears on the radio. Naive? Maybe, but again she wrote it when she was freaking 15! The fuck were you doing at 15?
HIMYM is also one of the very few shows I can think of that are REALLY pulling it all together for its home run.
Books turning into a show/movie have an infinite spoiler lifetime. Movies and series have a ten year cutoff depending on popularity/pop cultural impact.
Both time and geography is compressed here and as a viking descendant I am pretty cool with that. It is a show after all, which should be entertaining first, accurate second. The show gets so many things right I can forgive them for minor slights.
Surprised it didn't make the article. That and Cool Spot were actually great advergames. The Sprite game however was terrible.
"T-Pain still can’t sing, though. Long live Auto-Tune!"
Dude. It's music for teenagers by a teenager. If you don't like it you might simply not be in the target market. I.e. you're old.
Wait. I thought the clips was what Archer imagined life as a cartel would be like all fantasy like. A.k.a. all the possible plots a writer table high on playing GTA would come up with. Not ACTUAL clips of what's coming up. If that is the case and they did not just use that to clear out the obvious ludicrous stuff out…
Misremembered. JT and the Neptunes were inspired by classic Jackson albums (specifically Off the Wall and Thriller), but Jackson himself was never involved nor did he turn any tracks down as he was never offered them.
No. ""Rock Your Body" was written by Timberlake, Hugo and Williams, with production done by the latter two."
And whatever you are doing to scrolling it is breaking the browser's find function.
I also really appreciate having to scroll through an entire review to be able to go back and forth between episodes. Especially when I haven't caught up to the latest episode and am just aching to see those spoilers! /s
You do realise that up until last week AV Club had a pretty spectacularly well designed app right?
Shows I follow, community grade and the freaking app! All the things that made AV Club an actual tool to organise my TV viewing is now gone and replaced with… pretty pictures? What is the point of even having an account here now?
"EDM Stalwarts Infected Mushroom"?
1) EDM is no more than a couple of years old and is referring to the horrid Pop House popular with American kids on molly these days, popularised mostly by blonde haired kids from Sweden.
2) Infected Mushroom is in no way affiliated with EDM
Half-way through I turned to my wife and said "this really isn't a very good episode, is it?" I have never been actively disappointed by this show before. But by the end it seemed like they had deliberately made a crappy episode to make the emotional beats at the end stand out. Very frustrating.
Yup. Having never read the comics it was blatantly obvious that the movie was setting up Scott and Knives. That he ended up with boringly bland Ramona just completely ruined the entire thing. Worst movie I've paid money to watch in recent history.
Took this concept and ran with it: https://soundcloud.com/gene…
