As long as Saul can come too and there's no subplot wherein the chimp commits vehicular manslaughter, I'm in.

Oh no.
I remember when it managed to mix the gothic/macabre with the mundane/goofy and have it actually work. There's a playful tone to the first two seasons. A sense of subversive, you know, fun at the mix between the silly and the horrific.
Oh boy, it's that time of year again! The time when I give the fuck up and stop watching the show in favour of reading the reviews.
I don't think the problems so much that Superman's 'boring' but, like most superheroes, he was never designed to be taken seriously. Batman at least had enough grim elements built into the premise thta you can make something dramatic. Superman's an invincible flying alien in blue pyjamas: the purest kind of awesome…
To be fair, she does go on to totally fuck-up her attempts to rule a culture she doesn't understand. DwDs did a lot to make things more complicated than 'Blondie saves the ignorant savages'.

"I would have hoped you'd have learned your lesson about overplaying your…position."
"Tyrion's in love with someone lowborn? How to settle this without too many feelings being hurt… I know- a gang-rape!"
You call that an apology? He just blamed someone else! This is not how apologies work, Michael Bay .
The hell? I was in Cuba a few months ago and they are hurting for money right now. As soon as Castro's dead, send ALL the fucking celebrities there. Especially the rappers.
Huh. Mark thinks 'Please don't touch my floppy cock' on the DVD I got. And goddamn that's a funnier line.

Liked for the observation rather than the politics. Sneaky buggers, these showrunners.

Well, that redeemed a lot of the sillier shit that went on in the 2nd half of this season. Not logistically- Christ, no- but in a plot and theme way. Still irks me that Al Qaeda somehow became HYDRA/SPECTRE but at least the plot started to follow Bond Movie logic rather than 24.
