…seems like the av club has a broner for this guy.

I grew up in a trailer park, spent part of my adult life in public housing, been "wait on the right day for the food pantry to be open" poor, and am  still well below the poverty line. If anyone has the right to be offended, I'd be included in that group.

Read Habibi, then picked this up, devoured it. I enjoyed Habibi quite a bit, but I'm from the midwest, and alot of the things Thompson describes in Blankets are things I'm able to relate to. Haven't read his first yet, but think that'll be my next read.
