Rhyming Recap
Alterna-Jim Ford, undercover cop,
takes on Jodi O'Keefe and comes out on top.

Fronkensteen!

I liked this episode… a lot of stuff happened, some action scenes, screen time for Miles, callback for Charlotte, Locke-Widmore-Sawyer conflict moved along briskly. Easy A- or B+.

The worst thing about Juliet not being on Lost is that Elizabeth Mitchell is so totally mediocre on the teeth-grindingly awful V. So bad it makes FlashForward seem like Shakespeare.
…It gives you an appreciation for how important the right role and adequate dialog are for an actor. I thought Terry O'Quinn was pretty

Rhyming Recap
Guilt-ridden Ben goes all soft and atone-y,
while Miles disinters some stone-cold jabronis.

Just so long as he's not Stalin.

I'm mystified by the intensity of the Kate-hate. Obviously, it's a matter of opinion, but:
1. Evangeline Lily is really hot, the second hottest actress in the history of the show, which is saying a lot.
2. She is in no way out of her league as an actress in this genre.
3. She gets to do some tough-guy stuff and pulls it

Props to Eli Cash for mentioning the "Want to try another stick?" line. Coming on top of the poison pill incident, Jack is now officially the biggest badass on the show.

Sayid and Dogen get into a brawl;
Sayid loses the fight, but Big D drops the ball.

When did it become a TV cliche…
for the bad guy to make himself food in a restaurant kitchen?
Keamy in this episode, Linderman in Heroes, that Russian guy in 24 this season? Is this all based on one of the many gangster movies I haven't seen? Help!

I, too, wondered about the ambiguity of whether Sayid was talking about Nadia or Shannon when he said that there was only one thing he ever wanted, and it died in his arms (also, that "it" is grammatically correct but emotionally creepy). Nadia has been set up as the love of Sayid's life, but his feelings for Shannon

I just like to say "meme". Meme, meme, meme, meme.

Locke + Smokey = Loki?

The knife is an up-and-coming star, but was contracted for only a limited number of episodes. It was a guest star in one episode of Psych, and has a recurring role in Season Two of Sanctuary.

Stray Observations
1. I'm not President Taylor's biggest fan (or worse yet, maybe I am!), but I enjoyed watching her look President Luis Guzman in the eye and basically threaten to nuke the crap out of his imaginary country if he didn't stop screwing around and start cooperating. For someone who's not allowed to hit

Rhyming Recap
Hurley sees Jacob;
C'mon, Dogen, wake up!

Emilie de Ravin seems like she's put on a little weight. In "real life", this probably wouldn't happen after roughing it alone for three years in the jungle…
One of the underrated poignant Lost moments was when Jin met young, sweet, pregnant Rousseau in the past, and you got to see what she was like before the island

Ruddy Ruddy is right right. A tightwad is a miser, someone who's tight with their wad (of cash). Tightass would be a better choice. Stick in the mud, Gloomy Gus, buzzkill, Frowny McBythebookerson…
