I thought it was better than a C+. It´s a little corny at times, but it´s well made. I don't think being a French box office success is really relevant to the AV Club rating though.

The original demo version with Elvis Costello is so much better though.Sounds almost like it came from a Beatles album. The 80s production ruins the album version.
