I Want To Be THE Queen

My entire brain is a collection of Joss Whedon trivia.  It's like a prison…a shiny, shiny, prison.

IIRC, he's talking about the significance of feet or something important, and breaks off mid-sentence to talk about shirtless Sean Maher.  Then I think he interrupts himself again to express disappointment when Sean puts on a shirt.

Joss Whedon has said that if he could pick one piece of work to represent his entire body of work, it would be "Objects in Space."

The commentary by Joss Whedon at that section is pretty amusing.

He looks away to talk to Amy, though.  I was watching this episode with a group of people, and there was a collective gasp when he looked away.  It was a bit anticlimactic when nothing happened.

I actually agree.  I first saw Firefly when I was rather young, and Heart of Gold used to be one of my favorite episodes, while I thought of Out of Gas as the sad one where Mal crawls around with a syringe.

I love love love this episode.  One of my favorite things is Mal telling the story about Tracey and the mustache to the rest of the crew.  Usually when characters on TV tell stories that other characters find funny, the audience is alienated- we're used to laughing AT the characters rather than with them.  Somehow, it

I remember that too- that's why I love this episode so much.  The funeral scene and repetition of Tracey's message stand out to me as one of the best scenes in all of Firefly.

I used to play with my brother and our friend, too.  However, each turn took about 20 minutes because they had intense conversations about each card.  We usually got through only about three or four before getting bored and doing something else.

It's the sexy thing to do…
