For many years, I did a once-a-month DJ set of classic country at a decidedly punk rock bar in San Francisco. The name of the monthly event was "You're Not Punk And I'm Telling Everyone."
I would like to point out that Bob Weston (far right) is wearing a t-shirt by Milwaukee-based artist Tom Stack, with a design called, I believe, "Impending Doom." It, and in general the art of Mr Stack, is worthy of further attention. He has also made a number of gig posters over the years for bands like Shellac,…
Fuck, this is GREAT.
Even Walking Concert, in spite of a terrible name, was a solid outing for that dude.
I would also like to know the answer to this question.
You do know about albums, right?
That clip from "The Steve Allen Show" is amazing. Imagine how much choreography and rehearsal went into creating that single take wonder.
Ugh, but the *gluten* in the PBR!
Just to be contrarian I listened to the whole thing. And I liked it. It got a little samey after a while and it also reminded me of Tsunami and other 90's bands I've heard before, but what are you gonna do? It sucks getting older and it sucks being young. Whoa, I just blew my own mind.
@avclub-3db41011acc2d229176bf6a92202728d:disqus @disqus_pLtzLD5UrA:disqus Yeah, but whenever I've written "potato potato" it just confuses people.
i'm listening to this. and it's actually kind of cool. but jesus fucking christ, would it kill these kids to have spent an extra week trying to find a good band name? no band loves that coming-up-with-a-name process, but it's worth it in the long run to not have to be called shannon and the fucking clams.
holy crap, i *just* saw this. i hope i didn't miss it.
funny, i hated the lettering used all through the REST of the trailer, but kind of liked the "hand drawn" look of the title. i mean, it doesn't fit this film, which looks absolutely *horrendous*, but at least it looked like something more than the shitty powerpoint presentation of the rest of it.
@avclub-07083a9024530b20bdd9ef8b38fc6e79:disqus That made me laugh out loud.
@avclub-7dc8b441cf4e6fe9bc806679c4579e68:disqus I just read your username aloud. I am dum. See also The Czar Cast Ichbas Turd.
Somewhere around 1991 I was in a skate shop in Santa Cruz CA and saw a baseball cap that said "TOO BLACK / TOO STRONG" right above a steaming cup of coffee. To this day, I regret not having purchased this item immediately.
he might be having a coke, but yeah. if it does happen, i'd like to join you, if that's okay.
liked for "wastrel."
