'Put up with it' is a weird thing to say - the Simpsons writers would have no knowledge of it, as the Internet was for only drunks, angry loners, and the unemployed then.  Oh wait…

Yeah there weren't any ads featuring a naked Morgan Spurlock or anything, I don't know how they did it.

For as much great TV as there is at this moment, I can't imagine what it would be like if there were a show as great as the Simpsons Season 4 running right now.  The Internet would explode.

I like the format of the show - a generally low-key podcast where movies are discussed, and the Leonard Maltin game is usually played.  The 'favorite' episodes sound like they all deviate heavily from the formula, besides the SF show (which I don't think I've heard).   I like being able to expose myself to

Indeed.

Indeed.

The poker play in the film is ridiculous, but I think Tobias's NCC on Rounders had a great bit about how, unlike most poker movies, the hand that breaks Damon's character at the beginning is something that all regular poker players have seen happen.  The climactic hands of most poker films are billions to one against.

The rake is the house's cut of every pot, so it means that women merely take and never give.

I'd be curious about how much of a writer's room there is on this show.  Dunham gets a writing credit on every episode and there are some with a collaborative writing credit, but I don't think any writer was credited more than twice.  It makes me wonder who besides Dunham is keeping track of the how and where the
