Hopefully - remember, the general populous doesn't like what we AV Clubbers like.

Loved every moment of this! I hope the ratings are sufficient to keep this show going.
I was always against Jess & Nick getting together because it seemed too obvious, but they did a great job of making it happen more organically.
As president of the Schmidt fan club, I'm quickly moving over to team Nick.
This show realllllllly loves the archetype of "cliche'd, high-pitched, spoiled teen brat". First that kid from the first season that order's Spartacus to kill his friend, then the incestuous pair last season.
Ben Affleck was robbed!
I'm sure we can all agree that Chardee Macdennis is the greatest game ever.
Was it PJ's or CC's? Oh Lordy did I love those Mochassippis from Community Coffee.
Also, I second how much someone can miss the Big Easy, even with the certainty that every practical aspect of your life improves when you move out.

Sad day for all of us here in Dallas, TX. It was Hagman's performance as conniving, mischievous JR that drew huge audiences (domestic and international) to view my hometown as something other than "The place that Kennedy was killed".

If only Patrick Stewart had gotten the role. Ya'll can't tell me that wouldn't have been amazing/superior. Oh wellz…

Not sure if Matthew Broderick was mentioned yet. After finding out about what he did in Ireland completely changed my perception of the guy - I can't enjoy seeing him in any comedy knowing a family lost two members.
Almost the exact same situation happened with Laura Bush - she spoke at my college graduation, and…

Todd pretty much hit upon the key trait of HIMYM's success - relatability. Most anyone in their mid 20's to early 30's can instantly identify with one of the characters, often to an uncanny degree (well, given "uncanny" in the sense that this show identifies characteristics and traits universal to young adults better…

No, no! The Christmas episode! That was the turning point from "adorkable quirky girl with roommates stuck in the role of straight-men" to hilarious ensemble comedy. Pre-Xmas episodes are barely recognizable from the present incarnation. Soooooo…..I'd say start there.

Likewise the idea that "each successive generation is made up of a bunch of spoiled, entitled brats." Cicero wrote about that, there's some surviving graffiti on the wall of Pompeii saying the same, and a bunch of late-30 year olds on Facebook say it.

This man speaks the truth. Best case scenario was to go to college from 1999 to 2003 for the heyday of consequence-free downloading. I remember being in the dining hall freshman year and being told "Hey, did you hear about this new thing called Napster?" Then fast forward to spring of senior year, "Hey, did you hear…
