Watching the season finales of this and "2 broke girls" in one sitting is jarring.  Both started out with roughly the same amount of potential, and by the half way point (Christmas), I was ready to give up on "New Girl".  Holy moley, am I glad that I stuck with this show.  From January to May, every episode improved

This show is fun.  You can tell Irons is enjoying chewing the scenery.

Anyone else catch that weird "booo" shout at the end of the reaction to Wigg's jock about Bachmann's husband during the cold open?  Wigg looked like she caught it.

I like how we were typing the exact opposite notions at the exact same time, apparently.
Summer of '99 freaking rocked though, didn't it?
I was working retail all day at the mall, seeing great summer flicks, and playing Age of Empires on my computer at night. Twas' a golden age indeed. No responsibilities to speak of,

This show is slowly becoming the new Friends (I mean that in a good way).  Toning down the "adorkableness", while ratcheting up the neuroses of the 3 male roommates was an ideal move.
One of the key issues holding the series back was the lack of characterization of Winston.  I think the last few ep's focus on his

Did anyone else graduate high school in 1999?  For a lot of us, the first American Pie ended up being kind of a sentimental touchstone - instantly relatable as a loose adaptation of each of our own experiences happening at the same time.  Granted, I haven't seen the first one in a long time, but the mere memory of any

Correct, there's several other DeKnight interviews that were published today that confirm again that Illythia is dead.

No love for the MTV cell-shaded Spider-Man?  I thought it was passable, just poorly written.  Anyways, this still beats all of the anime Marvel stuff that's been coming out of the pipeline lately.

Marvel's gone to great lengths to say that in the Ultimates Universe, "dead is dead".
Crap, then again, they did kill Magneto, and guess who showed up again a few months back…..

Oh, and I just wanted to say how grateful I am that Game of Thrones comes back two days after seeing this finale.  Our withdrawl from sword-heavy drama is short indeed!

Well, really sad that
Oenomaus died.  I had posited last week that since he was a historical figure, he'd be around longer.  DeKnight did say that he'd be veering from history a bit, so I guess everyone but Spartacus isn't safe (although I can't fathom them disposing of Crixus until after some of his historically

Go watch an old episode of Win Ben Stein's Money. Clearly Kimmel (and Jeremy Piven for that matter) has a Lazarus Pit somewhere in Hollywood.

I'm still waiting for Starz to release an album of all of those drinking songs the Germans and Gauls sing on Spartacus. At least they should release a "My Cock Rages On" acapella LP.

Okay, time to take bets on who's gonna die next week.
< 2200 YEAR OLD SPOILERS BELOW>

The Superman radio program, apart from being hugely popular, had a big cultural impact.  In Malcolm Gladwell's Tipping Point, the author writes a chapter on how Superman vs. the KKK episodes are what first led many children in the deep South to reject the Klan (of which many of their parent's were members).  Gladwell

So what do we have - 3 more episodes this season?  Granted, some parts of this show can be pretty predictable.  We all new it would be Seppia standing over Glaber, right?  But Gannicus' slaughter of the cart soldiers, and kidnapping Ilithyia stands to show that this program can still surprise us.  I'm really hoping

I feel as if there hasn't been enough discussion about Nasim in the Princess Jasmine outfit.  Especially when she turns around and walks away from the camera in one scene.  I felt like I was going to end up in some sort of cosplay-diabetic coma after seeing that sketch.

Gotta give credit where credit is due.  Madge knocked it out of the park.  I came in cynical and leery, and enjoyed the whole show.

That is a possibility.  However, I'm reallly really hoping for some sort of flashback montage at the end that shows that he was telling the truth about everything the entire time.  For instance, when he saw his father, from his viewing angle from where he was standing in the room, he actually saw a diembodied ghost

Or maybe more specifically, that he'd never lied about his background.  The ghost dad stuff and peanut allergy are still lies.  Well, the peanut allergy might not…..he may have actually been having an allergic shock last season, prompting the paramedics to show up, but again, his mannerisms were all red herrings.
