I don't agree. First, the later part of the season was better because, as with any novel, the earlier chapters set up the later chapters. That has nothing to do with episodes.

I have seen all of season four 3x and I don't remember or care what occurs in which episode. Episode by episode reviews make no sense in terms of this show, it just fits in with the AvClub system.  In comparison to other TV comedies, this season, like all of AD is an A. (C+ is a joke, consistent with the

Indeed. Tatiana was the best!

Tatiana Maslany! Yes! All else is forgiven.

I disagree. Hose of Cards was excellent,. It did not, as you suggest, get a benefit from being Netflix; it actually received worse reviews than it would have had it been TV.

HBO wants this to continue for as many seasons as it can. Sure, it could be knock out episodes more quickly, but HBO wants to get subscribers to keep their subscriptions for the whole year to see 10 episodes of GoT. If this were on Netflix, it would be shown in a more consumer friendly way, but the AVClub won't like

"for crying out loud,"
I suggest that you not use that metaphor; it screams poor writing and tends to diminish what ever comes before it.

I enjoyed learning about Greenland from a Danish perspective. It's a place that most of us are curious about when we see it on maps when we are young, but it's almost never in the news (even the NYT, which has extensive international coverage).

"I’m glad you brought up Arrested Development, though,
because its fourth season seems to me a genuine television landmark, … But it’s
also totally different in structure, which suits an era in the Bluth family
where nobody’s holding them all together. Instead, mastermind Mitchell Hurwitz
follows each of them individually

Nice.

Exactly. Well-done post.

I doubt that he can top J-Roc as a white rapper:

Once again Netflix shows get pointlessly dumped on. That's the AVClub thing, as we know. But none of the shows is as good as Girls, Ha, ha. What a joke.

If there ever such a thing as history of TV reviews, Eric and his "C" grade of The B Team will be a textbook example of extremely bad work.

The first three seasons are currently on free Hulu.

I was one of the drop offs after the pilot. I had seen the Brit version, while I liked the trio of main secondary characters in the US version, I couldn't stand Steve Carrel as the boss. He struck me as missing much of what made David Brent both bearable and funny. It wasn't until the next or maybe third season, when

It's amusing that despite the AVClub's efforts to denigrate Netflix, 5 of the top 15 most popular articles are about it and its shows. Todd fails.

I just watched Maeby, and it was great, hitting many, many of the earlier set-ups. Overall, I don't think ranking of episodes means that much; it's like ranking the chapters of a book.

I don't remember that and I doubt it it happened.  I like to see a reference to a specific Sunny episode.

Stock prices go up and down all time, and, unless there something important, like an earnings report, there's no way of knowing the reason. Not surprising, NFLX gained back much of the loss today.
