It also seems like Iannucci used the David Kelley/BBC incident as a starting point for his satire in "In the Loop." The underlying issue in that incident was a claim that the Blair government had altered intelligence reports to bolster the Iraq threat, and, in the movie, Jamie basically makes up  "Debussy" as a source

I don't know whether to say thanks or f-off because now I'm watching them again on Netflix. This show is so good that it's addictive, and the AV Club is an enabler. :)

That was a great episode. And a great write up, Meredith. (To add a point or realism, all those documents would not have been released without legal review. )

You can't be seriously be saying that Kingsley acted in that
shit movie BloodRayne.because he wanted to play a vampire. He obviously did it for the money.

Oddly, Kingsley, having acted in Uwe Boll's "BloodRayne" in 2005, had shown that he would appear in any garbage at the right price. ("Cleaver" could  be equally as  bad as BloodRayne, but it could not have  been worse.)  I guess an argument could be made that Christopher could have obtained Kingsley, even with a shit

On Veep, Selina goes on Meet the Press one week after Biden stirred up a commotion in his own Meet the Press appearance. (It would have to be a coincidence; the show must have been produced a while ago.)  Presumably, she will say something that has not been cleared by the White House, maybe backing gay marriage. :)

Yes, it's bad when a comedy shows get sappy like that.

30 Rock live was terrific.

"Creator Armando Iannucci, the comic mastermind behind the excellent British series The Thick Of It, its quasi spin-off In The Loop, and the classic fake talk show Knowing Me, Knowing You With Alan Partridge, is known for his talky, densely packed scripts. His shows are not designed for passive viewing. "
Terrific descr

I may have reacted a little more harshly to those scenes because Rabin  suddenly gave a more positive review based on these supposedly heartfelt moments. Had he been reviewing the show all along, as it should be done, based on its comedy,  I'm sure I would have ignored those scenes.

I did find Jenna out of character tearing up over Paul, even more so Jack and Colleen. suddenly expressing fondness for each other, I really thought that they would laugh it off, but that didn't happen. I don't think this shows needs that childish  sappy sentimentality present in many, many other shows,

This was easily the worst 30 Rock of the season (which is not all that bad), Jack, Colleen, and Jenna all broke character (Tracy managed to save it with his last comment to his son), and it became sappy and unfunny. Hopefully, none of this will be carry over to future episodes and it can be considered to be a bad

Another aspect is how Quarles will go down.. I think it might be with Limehouse's butcher blade. Perhaps wielded by Raylan.

Maybe I'll try to watch, but Todd seems to like shows with sentimentality, which I do not. Also not a fan of Elisha Cuthbert after 24.

"Clutch of fools."  I don't understand the wording, but it sounded great.

That episode was great. The table set up for this season has been served magnificently. And still one episode to go.
