The Jeff/Britta scene was a highlight. It felt more genuine than any of their interactions since at least season 2. Unfortunately, the show still has major issues telling jokes for some reason.

Damn, I was expecting this to actually be funny.

FNL aimed lower than any of those shows, and while it was great for what it was, I'd put it at least a tier below The Wire and BB (I've never seen Mad Men). I don't think it belongs in that company. It's more like a much better version of Dawson's Creek or something.

Truly a terrific show, though obviously not in the pantheon of all-time great television. I really like it though. "The Son" is certainly the best episode, and one of the best hours of TV ever.

Oh, I'm aware. Perplexed, but aware.

That it has or that it hasn't? I honestly think the difference is negligible, but based on most of the comments in the reviews you would think its been the second coming.

As if season 5 has really been that much better.

B-

No…I thought the episode was pretty good, by season 5 standards at least. Dean rap just wasn't funny at all to me. Just another lame gag that would stick out like a sore thumb when this show was actually great, but is apparently actually hilarious because no one can tell the difference.

Perhaps had the show begun three weeks ago, you would be correct.

Honestly, why aren't Annie and Abed a couple yet?

This episode was rather enjoyable. The B-story was typical s5 Community nonsense, but still. More Abed/Annie please.

Her?

Eh. Not sure what to make of this one. Kind of want to rewatch but also, I don't?

My third wife was bi-racial.

Hmm…I have a feeling this is a somewhat inaccurate analysis. But fair enough, Mr. Nielsen.

B+, which means I liked it. I suppose you A's think it was as good as Remedial Chaos Theory then?

Huh. This was actually pretty good! Most honest character work they've done in a long time, and bodes well for the future. I'll award it a solid B+ (first since "Herstory of Dance"). Not really funny or poignant enough to blow me away, but a really good half hour. Perhaps they can build on this next week with a wacky
