It was kind of fascinating to watch the writers pushing Andy/Erin as the next great Office romance, until they realized he was absolutely awful and slammed the brakes down hard.

Exactly. It's great that Scott and Knives grow up emotionally and are on good terms with each other at the end, but actually getting back together would have been disastrous for both of them. (And would have made the entire movie/series pointless.)
Thanks! Much love for Dr. Mrs. M.
I will not accept this as our star, sorry.
Also in the professor's favor: he was played by Gabriel Byrne in that one adaptation. Mmmm.
Well, she does have seven super-powered evil exes basically stalking her, I can see why she'd be on her guard all the time.
Andie not ending up with Duckie was the right call. He gets more and more insufferable with repeat viewings, and never seemed to be that great a friend to begin with—he's a snotbag to Andie's boyfriend at the club, kisses her friend to make her jealous, and acts so whiny and entitled around her, like every other guy…
Ramona's a great, fleshed out character in the comic, and the movie did a bit of a disservice to her by focusing solely on Scott's POV. (I would have liked to see the movie handling "The Glow" at least.)
Knives had serious problems as well, stalking Scott after the breakup, using Neil to make him jealous, copying his new girlfriend's style ala Single White Female, and attacking Ramona at the club. I mean, I like Knives, but her relationship with Scott was fucked up on both sides and it's a little weird how her issues…
Judging by that preview scene in The Talking Dead, next episode is going to be 95% the Governor Looking at Things.
Yeah, that could have been an interesting/sad little story if we knew who she or the guy who shot her were. Alas.
I know I shouldn't expect much from The Walking Dead characters, but I was shocked that wasn't the very first thing they did. Like, come on.

Oh No She Better Don't!
Ian McKellen as Death walking out of The Seventh Seal is my everything.
And that sword had a seriously badass design.
I still don't see much of a difference between Carl and Carol. Carol is clearly troubled by what she's done and seen (lost daughter and asshole husband to walkers), she reacted harshly after witnessing a bloodbath in Block D and the effects of a flu that kills people violently and horribly within hours, and she had…
Then why did he give Carl his gun back? I'm not expecting Rick to banish his kid, but Carl killed someone who did not need to be killed and it's still totally acceptable for Carl to walk around the prison armed. The rules are different for Rick's family.
Man Lori's been dead for a whole season and she still can't get a break.
Carol surprisingly turned into one of the best characters of the series (and the best female character in this show, period), and it would be a waste if this is her exit. (And goddammit I want closure with her and Daryl.)
