flashback
My favorite moment? The flashback fakeout with the heat waves.

Ethan Rayne
I got a kick out of the casting of Robin Sachs as a non-vampire baddie, since he played a vamp in the Hammer Horror flick "Vampire Circus." (Doctor Who's Lala Ward played his sister, for added geekery.)

Reality Bites?
Needs more unwashed Ethan Hawke.

Misa's suicide made sense to me. She was a wasteful person. She was intelligent and talented, but she spent her life playing the pretty fluff-brain for other people. She gave away half her life for the Shinigami eyes and used them for the sake of a man who didn't love her (and at times could barely tolerate her). Of

Lady Uranus summed it up well, but here are a few more details:

Death Note's ending
The anime has an abrupt ending, but the manga has an epilogue set a year later that reveals the status quo of the post-Kira world. That and the "How to Read" Death Note guide tie up all lingering questions (like what L's real name was).

Credits sequence
I wasn't a fan of the ending sequence. If a movie has to explain its plot twists right up until the Best Boy gets credited then there's a problem.

Whoever compared Venture Bros. fans to Lost fans last week was right. Not every plot development has layers and layers of twists and misdirections.

I've known a few douchebags exactly like Dermott, so he might as WELL be real…

Dermott
I'm surprised at all the speculation about his paternity. A blonde kid who's "bigger" than everyone else and considers himself a deadly weapon? Rusty's "wait till you have kids of your own" comment to Brock? He has to be Brock's kid. It makes Brock's eagerness to see him beat up even funnier, because all the

The Shinigami
Ryuk makes a hell of an appearance in the final episode, don't worry.

Donna did tell Martha that she wanted to travel with the Doctor "forever," so right now she probably can't imagine a situation in which she'd willingly leave the Doctor. Something non-deadly could change her mind, though.

River and Donna
I hope we see River again; she would make a nice companion for the "specials" they'll film after this season. Since Moffat is going to be in charge I hope he has a larger plan for her.

In "Caged Bird" Dean was in denial about being molested by Sgt. Hatred, and he may have repressed it completely. Hank knows it happened, but when even "average" kids are scared to talk to adults about sexual abuse, it's believable that kids as out of it as Hank and Dean wouldn't say anything. (Especially since Rusty

Patch Adams
I love it when the Venture Bros. have adventures with the henchmen (which sounds a little weird since the henchmen killed them a couple seasons ago). It's also fun to see Dean and 24 bond considering their mutual daddy issues.

People remember the "More than Words" video?

Eric, the original cut removed controversial scenes like Mathilda accompanying Leon on a hit and (unsuccessfully) trying to seduce him. The international cut can be squirm-inducing, but it provides more character development and puts things in a better context. Your mileage may vary.

A Nightmare Before Christmas article would be interesting, but I think it's pretty much surpassed cult at this point and is generally regarded as a classic.

Fight Club stirred up a lot of talk and controversy when it was first released, but it didn't make much money. It became a success later on DVD through word of mouth.

Con Fucking Air
That clip of Duffy calling Kenneth Branagh and getting his answering machine is priceless.
