That Posehn thing is often the dynamic. Politics aside, Carolla is one of the most entertaining cats around so even the most liberal guests have fun with him, but in those moments when those politics are un-asided and he gets on one of those particular jags you can feel the wincing in the room.

Yeah, I liked the first couple of eps quite a bit (although the PFT factor was prpbably a significant part of that) but haven't really felt compelled to keep following up. I like Jake, and it's not as ear-splittingly shrieking as HDTGM, but there is that similar vibe.

That I found the Rob Corddry episode of NEVER NOT FUNNY just "good" and not "best" is testament to how strong the entire season has been. That's also a true statement.
