I loved the first Farts and Pro but I don't think I even finished the second one. Not that it was bad, maybe I just had let my expectations overheat because of the first time and there was no way it was fair to expect them to replicate the delightful surprise of that one.

For us old-skoolers who found podcasts waaaaaay back this was something of an historic meeting. Pretty sure they're the two longest-running professional comedy podcasts around but their opposite-coastedness has kept them apart all this time.

Ha! Sounds like you ran head-long into a John F O'Donnell episode. He's literally, clinically manic - as in, he's spent time in hospitals for it. I love him in spite of his crazy energy because he's genuinely creative and quick-witted but he's sure as heck not for everyone.

If the teller is good I don't get tired of hearing stories told more than once just like I don't get tired of seeing my favourite movies or TV episodes more than once, and I like Jesse's style a lot.

McBride was such a breath of fresh air for WTF, wildly likable and entertaining while completely unencumbered by ego or neuroticisms. And considering he's a writer/director primarily he's done a pretty neat job of carving out an acting career - range be damned.
