The camera briefly flashes back to the disappointed face of Martian Judge.

He's too busy kicking ass and taking the awards under his own power. He doesn't need any one to simply give him one.

One thing that we're probably overlooking is that most of the awards shows seem to geared to casual film goer audience, not us. We're all movie media buffs who revel in obscure arcane lore behind everything movie related. To the greater general public though, movies are probably viewed as mere disposable

Sorry - As much as I like Hanks and the Perdition movie for lots of reasons, but it was still wide stretch of disbelief to imagine Hanks as a cold badass killer.

Coen Brothers & Kubrick
I would say that the Coen brother and Kubrick movies feature tons of examples of one scene/limited screen time performances.

I nominate Lanny for our Club poet laureate.

I can't think of a Molina performance I didn't enjoy… all kinda diverse too.

The marketing for this appeared to more along the lines of some Todd Phillips-Judd Apatow-John C Reilly hybrid. I had zero idea it from one of my faves, Alexander Paine - Election-About Schmit-Sideways sorta smart comedy. Those are 3 serio-comedies I can watch limitlessly.
