This was just an observation, not an Iron Law of Sitcoms, but I should have been more specific. I'm talking about shows that are grounded in a fundamentally realistic approach to blue-collar life, treating the relative poverty the characters as a suject of real pathos, not just an ambient factor or a source of wacky…
