Sunrise
Is the Sunrise disc the same as the one that was previously in circulation (but never released individually)?

With the John Ford set, most of the content on the discs was the same in the rare event that the material had been issued before, so I assume this is true of Sunrise too. The old Sunrise never got a commercial release anyway.

He puts you into the Phantom Zone, but only after a long lecture about how it's a last resort and a vote by all the senior members of the Justice League.

Guess not. Maybe we can make Kissinger jokes instead. "This isn't a productive area of discussion."

burns tales
They need to do an episode about Mr. Burns that works something along the model of Dan Rosa's "The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck."

John Wayne in Rio Bravo, El Dorado, and Rio Lobo, all directed by Howard Hawks.

?
Well, I've never heard of any of the "best new artist" nominees. Well, I've heard of the "Jonas Brothers" but I thought they were a TV show or something, not a band.

It isn't so much he has bad taste as he is OLD. It'll happen to you one day.

i hope none of these ever happen
Ever.

Boo hoo. Can't get 'em all.

A friend of mine moved to New York. A year later she told me that she'd just bought the Billy Joel box set and that every New Yorker needed to own it. We haven't spoken since, and I have resolved to never lower myself so much as to live in NYC.

Revolver doesn't hold together like Abbey Road or the American Rubber Soul, but then nothing does so this comparison is unfair. It's a darn sight better than Sgt Pepper's, that's for sure.

Oh please: Coldplay are completely generic. At least Phil Collins had the balls to be utterly, utterly awful.

Anyway, here are the really reat double albums:
London Calling
Blonde on Blonde
Double Nickels on the Dime
Daydream Nation
Trout Mask Replica
Exile on Main Street (possibly the one great rock album, despite more weak tracks than all the above)

the wall
There are only six songs on The Wall, yet somehow it lasts for 28 tracks. How the hell did that happen? Every few years I take that thing out from behind all the other records on my shelf and listen to it all the way through. Then I remember that it's mostly just a sound effects record with scattered musical
