I'd never heard of thetans before, so I looked it up in Wikipedia.

This post has given me more entertainment than the movie ever will.

Without knowing any better, that sounds like the type of game which the PS2/Xbox 3D Castlevania games were.

And just to clarify - I'm not trying to imply that I can only enjoy videogames the most when its developed for or played on the most expensive hardware. I don't have 3 $500 graphic cards in my PC. I find that Nethack is much more playable with ASCII characters than graphic tiles. I don't shirk from graphics which

Thank you for a worthwhile reply.

"World of Warcraft: It's like a job except you pay us to do it."

I don't dislike handheld gaming for it being portable. I dislike handheld gaming which is proprietary.

I played through DQ6 on the Super Nintendo and enjoyed it. I played through DQ7 on the PS1 and enjoyed it, despite the horrifically awful FMV clips the first portion of the game has. I played through DQ8 and thoroughly enjoyed that, particularly because of the expansive overworld which the game allows you to explore.

I thought Miyamoto was on record disparaging F-Zero because of how poorly GX sold and blaming the poor sales on the game's difficulty.

F-Zero and Fire Emblem are good Nintendo franchises.

Bah, I thought I read from somewhere else earlier that it was a straight port from one of the DS games. Purchasing the game will be more palatable if it does have some actual unique aspect to it.

The DS is worthless to me.

It's the DS game upscaled for widescreen display. No content of the game is new or retouched from the original source material.

Microsoft and Sony's long and overwrought projects to chase Nintendo's tail take form here and it is every bit as shameful as could be expected. Gramma already bought her Wii. Gramma already plays Wii Bowling (and nothing else) on her Wii. Gramma is not going to spend another lump of cash to buy a

If you're referring to the protagonist from FF7: no, he wasn't.

If you think "Resident Evil" is bad, I propose that the name of the series used in Japan is worse. Nothing about the adventures of tank-controlled people makes me think of "Bio Hazard".

Akiba-the-pants-shitter wasn't slapstick, it was pure nails on chalkboard annoyance.

Who cares if Modnation Racers seems like a Wii-type game; if the game doesn't use all of the controller's umpteen million buttons, why should there be any discussion regarding said buttons?

From what I remember, the PSN game Flow is the only PS3 game which requires the use of sixaxis stupidity to be played.

Dock the game because of the layout of the PS3 controller? Really?
"the PS3's controller has an inherent learning curve. With its umpteen buttons, it's a foreign object that might ultimately prevent this otherwise terrific game from finding the mainstream audience it so deserves."
