I'm curious about the comment on the series premiere. I'll grant you that I haven't seen it since the first season aired, but I really was convinced that the cracks in season one didn't show up until after And the Winner Is. (God I love that episode.)

That sounds truly horrifying. Mind if I borrow that at some point?

That person is just being a douchebag.

I consider it to be significantly superior to Breaking Bad. Opinions are what they are.

They definitely did handle the emotions very, very well, I just felt that it lacked structure. An issue similar to Sopranos' fourth season, but the Sopranos by and large did not prioritize such things, while precise plotting and structure was Breaking Bad's bread and butter.

I'm with you in spirit. You make a very reasonable defense of the show here and analysis above, and it would be stupid to not watch the show because one was personally offended at Lost's resolution.

Pine Barrens is incredibly overrated. There are a number of Sopranos episodes that are stronger than it story and theme wise. Otherwise, absolutely.

2 I might give you, I'm still debating over 2 and 5 as my favorites, but 3, really? 3 feels like it has no story within itself whatsoever. It's just set-up for 4, a stop-gap between it and 2. It also has a lot of fantastic episodes in it, mind you, but I think it easily coheres the worst, works the least well, out of

Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas, people.

A lot of people disliked it for understandable reasons, but yeah, Elephant is good.

I want to support this sentiment, but I just can't get on board with liking Gerry. There are limits to artful silences, man.

It was critically panned, but it's basically a cult classic now. I haven't seen it, but I do grant it looks very pretty.

It's not the most compelling game ever, but I do really enjoy the first game's story, and Frank is a fun protagonist. The sequels, though. . Ugh.

The whole point is that you reset constantly while learning different parts of the environment and gaining experience, like Majora's Mask.

Oh goodness. I watched that show in two days, and I'm completely happy with its ending, but I'll miss it so much. We never got that Dougie episode.

Yeah, that's a big one, although I regrettably have yet to see Returned.

Tomorrow is when some actually unpredictable, unique and interesting choices might go down.

I'm still hoping for a more extensive discussion between us on season 2 at some point. Season 2 to me elevates the show to all-time great dramas level.

Deserved it!

I maintain that it's clearly a drama series in a way that other kind of ambiguous HBO series like Girls isn't. Mostly because I find Girls hilarious and Enlightened almost never funny but a constantly compelling portrait of sincere struggle to change with the most personally relatable character I've ever encountered
