He is an Avenger, and will be in the next big Marvel U movie.
He is an Avenger, and will be in the next big Marvel U movie.
Yeah, being worried about kids who listened to metal worshiping the devil and becoming arsonists or murderers was pretty histrionic. Unless you were in Norway, then that shit was for reals.
All the new characters seem like pretty bland copies of past characters, with an emo Darth Vader crying and getting dueled to a stand still by a girl who just picked up a light saber a minute ago, a female Han Solo who is just magically good at everything she ever tries to do for the first time and is only the…
I don't know how this guy could hate the song this much, because I severely doubt anyone anywhere has played it in 20 years. It is total crap, but it's a tiny blip in the history of crap music. Is this actually on anyone's nostalgia rock station?
I read Moon Girl, and it was fine. If I was a young girl, especially a young black girl, this would probably be great. But I'm not, and there just isn't much there that transcends the niche the way that well written all ages stuff does. I just don't think the market is going to be big enough to make it last more…
I had both of their albums and thought they were pretty solid. They were never at any point my favorite band, or one I thought was amazing, but a good band I wanted to hear more from. When you paid attention to the lyrics there was a deeper level of thought, not overly pretentious, but not superficial, and some…
I prefer "Carlotta Valdez", but maybe it's just because Vertigo is one of my top ten favorite movies.
Yeah, re-issuing an album does nothing to improve it or it's legacy the vast majority of the time. A rarities album by a good band could be worthwhile though. Now if it is a terrible production job on an old CD version and it's a much better remastering, that could be worth it.
Not in 1994.
I completely and absolutely forgot about him, then half remembered him and looked him up. The Power Broker was always more of a means to explain all these powered up people than an interesting bad guy.
It appears to be a new take on the Power Broker. The original one is dead I believe. This is the new version, who does pretty much the same thing, except has powers. Or a suit maybe? He is selling an app that hooks up criminal masterminds with powered henchmen. Maybe he's powering up the henchmen? We shall see. Or…
They also filmed for a long ass time, he needed to stay busy, making enough cheddar to squander on murder mansions, albino snakes, and lucky crack pipes.
AC/DC were the expert at the "one and a half entendre." Technically someone could possibly think there was a second meaning, but no one on the planet ever thought they weren't talking about sex. Bon Scott was just a little wittier about it.
In the AC/DC behind the Music I thought he attributed it to watching an American workout TV show and deciding he needed him some of that.
Well 21 you would have a stronger argument with, since it was based on a group of actual people who were mostly Asian and was fictionalized, as opposed to an adaptation that would be translated to a new setting. That was actual white washing. They edited out the race of most of the characters to make the movie more…
I'd call it a magical box that melts people's faces. Divinity and magic are pretty much the same to me, since I don't believe in Divine beings. Or magic for that matter. If you think there is a huge separation between the two, I can't understand why there would be. Sky god magic, demon magic, old lady magic,…
Well you did get the lead in "Romeo Must Die". And Mekhi Phifer got the lead in "O". And Jamie Foxx got the lead in "Django Unchained" even though he is so not Italian. So that totally makes up for just about every adaptation forever.
Is it a notebook? Do things not explicable by modern science happen when you write in it? That's a magical notebook.
Because when it's an adaptation from a Japanese work, IT"S NOT ABOUT YOU. It was, and you read/watched it already. Now they're making an American version, about Americans going through a similar story. It would be nice if they cast an Asian person, just because it would be nice if they cast Asian guys a bit more…
Because the arguments have nothing to do with each other. I agree Asian Americans are under-represented in American pop culture, especially when it comes to lead roles that don't involve kung-fuing somebody. But saying anything adapted from a foreign culture should be cast with members of the original ethnic group…
