I guess you can argue May wasn't assigned to do the job. Remember that Hunter recruited her off book while she was on leave. And Coulson gave him carte blanche to do whatever it took, which he ended up doing too.

You meant the Avengers, right?
I do disagree with the review that Rosalind dying was a bad decision. I thought it was a good one and the scene worked effectively.
The thing is Fitz/Simmons is kinda under Ward's do not hurt list. Him hurting Simmons at the end was actually a fairly big deal showing how badly his anger/hurt has affected him.
I liked to think May stopped Daisy from comforting Coulson at the beginning because she didn't get any comfort from her or the rest of the team when she was going through her troubles with Andrew/Lash.
It's hard to not take with a grain of salt since it's Simmons' actress explaining her character instead of the writers/showrunners, but I like her rationale that Simmons isn't really familiar/used to love or having those feelings.
There definitely are bigger things to come, but you would think that the "reveal" of a superhero team would have more oomph/focus to it, even if it was a last minute makeshift decision.
The other thing SHIELD's doing right for a superhero show is doing the whole "the villain is a dark mirror of the hero" and "the superhero created their own supervillain" aspect well.
IGN loves Agents of Shield.
That's fair. In this particular case though, we know that Simmons is the more rational of the two, and Fitz is the more emotional of the two. From an in universe standpoint, it makes much more sense to try to crack Fitz than Simmons, because Simmons might be able to rationalize one person's death to prevent hell from…
In Oliver's defense, I agree with the review on a number of points.
Also, we get confirmation that Simmons crushed on Ward, and she mentions Ward saving her from the plane as her rationale. I got three things from that scene.
Ward's going to find out about Will and kill him because he still cares about Fitz's happiness.
Jed Whedon co-created Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog.
No mention of Thomas or how we finally determined how much of what Ward said was the truth vs what was a lie. Ouch. I get you didn't find Ward very compelling as a villain, but he has had three seasons of screentime, and if anything his turn to villainy has more depth than about every other character other than…
This is a Whedon show. Any moment a couple is happy together and not being angsty is when you know something terrible is about to happen to them. This time it just happened to be death.
Clicked the review thinking the above image was Chris Evans.
Sorry person who has more than two friends. Some people don't have the luxury of inviting more people…
It goes without saying, but the Batman Superman Movie: World's Finest did a much better job at unmasking each other's identities.
Danny Phantom was probably on par or tamer than the worst of Gravity Falls. But yeah, there's a lot of weirder animation if you look for it.
