Instead of films, after watching the first 3 Korra episodes of the new season, I've been rewatching season one of LoK. 2/3 of the way in and I forgot how well the episodes hold up. Admittedly it's the rushed final episode that showcases most of the problems with the series, and there's still parts here and there I'm

I spent it not supporting Transformers AoE. I hope there's many here that did the same (though given the box office revenues I think I'm in the minority).

That's were we disagree. I think you can have the main character going through a rough patch or even unlikable, but you need proper balance with it. Starting the season off with Korra not on good terms with Tenzin or her father was not a good move IMO, and having the main character be "unlikable" is probably not even

He's not
Skyler Brigmann voices Kai
Aang was voiced by Zach Tyler

Maybe so, but for now the vines are the particular issue and that's probably caused by one issue. Korra should be able to solve that before the show goes into the perpetual "spirits will always be causing a mess" problem, and that I think could have been helped greatly with the advice mentioned above

Yeah, but that's the point I was trying to make. If she still had that connection, maybe the vines issue would be solved by now.

Realize the show's probably gonna go bac to the vines down the line, but I couldn't help but think how much easier it'd be for Korra to contact Aang and have him tell her the Hei Bai story, or at least give advice to talk to the spirits to explain whether the vines are either from a rouge spirit or something else.

Yeah

I wasn't amazed to be honest. Felt that Wan getting multiple bending disciplines was too rushed, and I'm not a fan of how the episodes ended up characterizing the spirits and how that set the stage for spirits in future episodes.

The implication of the character and how an armless bender would work never hit me until this post. Mind blown

Maybe because Asami is still not really a "character", or at least not really a character in these three episodes.

Might be the minority, but I'm also glad the focus isn't on the spirits right now. Personally felt a lot of the spirits' mystique and their intrigue was lost last season

Love that despite Tenzin still being in the growing stages of being a leader to the new race of Airbenders, he's at least reached the stage of being a proper mentor to Korra, and she listens too!

But how will Mako BROOD?!?

Avatar is back! I enjoyed the first two season of LoK, but these episodes have the feel of ATLA that I never felt the first two seasons of LoK were quite able to capture. So looking forward to the new season.

With *SPOILER* Idris Elba dead I can't nearly be as excited as I was in the first film.

So remember kids: eat wings responsibly

As someone that liked Scary Movie (and hates all the sequels), I say being a parody can be a good thing if done well, and I'm hoping the performances and directions make it so.

Wilfred subverting the DOG = GOD message was pretty golden.

Despite being a douche to nature, he seemed really mellowed out this episode. I'm glad the episode made Drew seem to genuinely want to be close to Ryan to talk about things instead of him being suspicious.
