The Masked Man's "Dead Wrestler of the Week" feature at Deadspin is probably my favorite recurring feature writing anywhere. The rest of Deadspin is pretty much useless, but DWotW is astounding.

That Bill Simmons movie star piece was fantastic (if overly long), especially the second half about Will Smith. How could any sentient being be out of their league talking about pop culture anyway? I mean, I dig the AV Club and all, but let's not over-estimate the expertise level required to write intelligent recaps

Paradigm
I would hope that Louie could become a model for channels like FX and others with similar ambitions to compete with the 'big and noisy' model so pervasive on the networks and in the movie theaters. Louie has no huge hook other than its creator and quality. No superpowers, nothing otherworldly. Just a dude.
